The gift of flowers is often viewed as wasteful because the flowers die. It is never about the flowers themselves. It's about the love with which they are given, and how they are a symbol of romance. Our memory of flowers lives on long after everything else wilts. We either nurture love or we remember it.
Poetry
Painted from a photograph of my wife Tatiana, who is my constant muse and inspiration.
Oil on canvas
Inspired by the powerful esthetics of Dune. The mirage of a seductive woman mingled in a desert color palette lures you into this world. The swirling sands evelope your perception as forms intermingle.

Byzantine iconography is ancient modern art, both in the 6th century and today with its timeless flat expression, intricate gold/silver workmanship, mosaic quality and sophisticated spirituality. It is a deeply moving experience to create an icon in the style of those unidentified masters whose only aspiration was to inspire the faithful. My painting imitates the hammered silversmithing of those master artists using metallic paints and oils to bring to life my own version of the Blessed Mother and her child. Divine love.

Love is rarely loud. It lingers in the spaces between—half-formed gestures, unfinished letters, the hush before something is spoken. Somewhere, Love unfolds in quiet echoes, tracing love’s presence in absence, its weight in memory, its pulse beneath loss. Inspired by the way love is felt more than defined, the poem moves like breath—one moment dissolving into the next, each image unraveling into something both intimate and infinite. It is a meditation on love’s persistence, its subtlety, and the way it never truly leaves, only shifts, only waits.

I love color! I get a vision in my mind about the sun rising near the water and imagine all the different colors and how it makes me love Nature even more. It is so calming and inspirational.

In my culture, hair is a powerful symbol, representing beauty, health, personality, and individuality. Most importantly, it possesses the remarkable ability to defy gravity. Among men, a full circle of long hair and a beard is often referred to as a ‘lion’s mane,’ embodying strength and identity. This piece captures an intimate and regal moment—my queen tending to my mane, honoring the significance of our crowns.
Oil
This piece captures the moment where passion dissolves all boundaries—where touch lingers, emotions bleed together, and two souls become indistinguishable.

This painting is the concluding piece in a deeply personal trilogy, tracing my journey through mental health struggles, recovery, and ultimately, balance. The first painting depicted a solitary candle on a dark beach—flickering but fragile—a reflection of how depression consumed my life and left me feeling isolated. The second, created during my recovery, was bold and fiery, embodying the raw intensity of transformation: the pain, the chaos, and the exhilaration of feeling reborn. But healing isn’t just about breaking free; it’s about learning to live with what remains. This final piece (beyond the surface) represents that balance. The swirling shadows still exist, but so does the light. The figure stands on the outstretched hand, dissolving—not vanishing, but becoming something greater. It symbolizes the moment I realized my struggles will always be part of me, but they do not define me. The hand is both a guide and a challenge: do we cling to the past, or step forward into the unknown? Through movement, contrast, and texture, I wanted to capture the weight of that decision—the fear of letting go, the pull of the familiar, and the beauty of embracing what lies ahead. This painting is about transformation, resilience, and the acceptance that true healing isn’t about erasing the darkness, but learning to coexist with it while still reaching for the light.

I feel the ultimate portrayal of love is a couple's desire to be forever near each other in death, with a shared headstone.
Photography
The art of Seduction, the flirtation of body language, the look, communicating a sense of playfulness, the eyes seeking romantic behavior in dance.
Watercolor
Love can be idealized to be pure, but sometimes it can be emotional and messy. Find the connection for love—joy, pain for yourself to hear the harmony of what could be. There’s a yin for your yang somewhere.
Acrylic Paint, Oil Pastels
My husband and I met and married later in life and moved to Florida in 2024. We find Florida so beautiful with all its greenery and flowers. Like our love for each other, the beauty that surrounds us here blossoms outward.
