The Communitron 3000 was the piece I had submitted in the 2024 Student and Emerging Artist contest in Ocala, FL. I had won first place in my category as an emerging artist with a young career. The theme for this competition was “Community.” To me, community is about people showing up for each and contributing to a greater purpose in a selfless and intentional manner. The robot is a symbol of a robust and well kept community.
