Gbadebo Babatunde Oluwadamiloa

Born in Lagos, Nigeria and is originally from the state of Osun. He is a multidisciplinary artist living in Lagos. He graduated from Yaba College of Technology's fine art department, Babatunde is a versatile artist who uses a variety of mediums, including charcoal, oil, and acrylic, as well as different genres and styles of art. In addition to being an artist, he is also a fine-art photographer. He first began drawing when he was very young and immediately fell in love with the drawings of Super striker which leads him to choose art as a career. Babatunde has exhibited in both physical and online group exhibitions.

Artist statement: Gbadebo Babatunde Oluwadamilola uses his artistic endeavors as a means of meditation to examine human emotion in the natural world. In Babatunde's artwork, the human figure is (juxtaposed) with an animal or drone, the drone symbolizing the metaphorical relationship that life requires documentation to preserve memories and allow others to learn from one's experiences, both positive and negative, from a variety of viewpoints.
